Air Foils on rear of salt trucks!
Not a new concept for sure, did you know the technology and effectiveness of air foils on rear of snow removal trucks has been proven through research? Try link below for more information:
Pictured is air foil installed on Van Buren County Road Commission truck which is located in the "lake effect" snowbelt of Southwest Michigan. We have received positive feedback on effectiveness of this air foil in keeping the rear of the truck relatively snow free although our winter has been rather meager thus far. This air foil is a slightly lower profile to avoid contact with front end loader bucket. It is of stainless steel construction and can be retained and remounted on replacement trucks.
