On-Board Liquid Chloride Application Systems

Drift Buster Nozzle technique used by Kansas DOT whereby liquid chloride is applied along edge of shoulder on top of snow to start the melting process and "capture" blowing snow creating a drift which in turn becomes a "snow fence". The boom buster nozzle is mounted on rear of anti-ice application unit and utilizes one of the boom circuits.
